Beth Bengtson has been practicing yoga for almost 30 years. She took her first yoga class in college and instantly loved the way it made her body feel. Over the years, she has continued to deepen her knowledge of yoga through the study of yoga philosophy and her asana practice. Fascinated by the mind-body connection, Beth believes that uniting the mind, heart, and body on our mats and in our daily lives is critical for optimal physical, emotional, and mental health.
Beth has been an elementary school educator for thirteen years. She decided to enroll in a 200- hour Yoga, Social-Emotional Learning, and Mindfulness teacher training in order to bring the life-changing benefits of yoga to her students. Becoming a certified yoga teacher has inspired Beth to not only bring yoga to her third grade students, but to others in her community, as well. She firmly believes that yoga should be inclusive and accessible to all.
Beth is furthering her education in September 2024 by enrolling in a 300- hour yoga teaching training and a Master’s program in Social-Emotional Learning, Mindfulness, and Yoga. She is also currently taking a six-month course with world-renowned yoga teacher Judith Hanson Lasater. Beth is a passionate life-long learner, and is looking forward to bringing her growing knowledge of yoga to her students.
Beth has called Bend, Oregon home for the past 27 years, and is excited to begin teaching yoga in her community. She strives to create a class environment where students feel welcome, comfortable, relaxed, and uplifted. Beth teaches a vinyasa style yoga class that is suitable for all levels. Each month she incorporates a new inspiring theme to her morning yoga classes. Beth’s hope is to create a class that helps her students start off their day feeling strong, centered and inspired.
